National conference’s Omar Abdullah has stepped into his new role as Jammu& Kashmir’s chief minister for the second time. He was sworn in on the 16th of October at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), named after the title designated to his grandfather, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. Omar Abdullah had previously served as the CM between 2009 and 2014. But this is his first stint as a Chief Minister after the scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the state becoming a Union Territory in 2019.
