Why is the Aviation Ministry Anxious about Hoax Bomb Threats?

There is something unusual happening to Indian flights, interrupting a busy schedule of festive flying. As many as 10 aircrafts received bomb threats in the last 48 hours. While all of them were found to be hoax, it led to panic, confusion and massive disruptions in flight schedules, with one Air India Aircraft from Delhi to Chicago, diverted to Canada. The lane had 211 passengers. This has made the Aviation Ministry sit up and call for a high level meeting to address these hoax bomb threats.
