What is Baba Siddique's Bollywood Connection?

With the late actor-MP Sunil Dutt as mentor, Baba Siddiqui joined the Congress as a teenager in 1977. He got close to the Dutt family, reaching a full circle when he later mentored Priya Dutt’s political career. Being from Bandra, he started throwing lavish Iftar parties. These parties, which were already a hotspot for Bollywood celebrities, with superstars Sanjay Dutt in attendance, got to a whole new level when Salman Khan started attending them. Siddiqui then started hosting the parties at the upscale Taj Lands End and the annual event became a place for Bollywood's swish set. He was also known for his proximity to other Bollywood A-listers such as Shilpa Shetty, Kabir Khan, Urmila Matondkar and Katrina Kaif, among others.
