Tax Collection Grows 11%

Published On: June 19, 2023 - An increased collection of advance tax has contributed to a notable 11% growth in the net direct tax revenue, which has reached ?3.80 lakh crore in the current fiscal year. This surge reflects positive momentum in economic activity. The total net direct tax collection as of June 17, 2023, stands at ?3,79,760 crore, comprising ?1,56,949 crore from corporation tax (CIT) and ?2,22,196 crore from personal income tax (PIT) including securities transaction tax (STT).
