Tata Group's Bold Initiative: 500,000 Manufacturing Jobs in Five Years

Speaking at the Indian Foundation for Quality Management's inaugural edition, he highlighted the semiconductor industry's potential for job creation, noting that every direct job in manufacturing can lead to 8 to 10 additional jobs elsewhere. With 1 million young people entering the workforce monthly, the Tata Group's commitment is a vital step toward achieving the ambitious goal of Viksit Bharat. Chandrasekaran called for a cultural shift in hiring and training, stressing the need for 500 to 1,000 small and medium enterprises to effectively generate the desired employment impact.
