Student leaders behind August 2024 coup in Bangladesh set to launch political party

What began as a movement focused on student demands has now shed its apolitical pretense, revealing the political ambitions that were always at its core.  The party’s name will be announced on February 24, with interim government adviser and student leader Nahid Islam expected to be its convener.
