Spike in Terror Attacks in J&K: Who is Behind It?

Published On: November 12, 2024 - The revocation of Article 370 in August 2019 marked a significant shift in the region. There was a slow peace and progress established in the valley. But now after years of relative peace, J&K is seeing violence with targeted attacks on civilians and frequent clashes between militants and security forces. These targeted attacks are undermining the very progress that increased economic investments, infrastructure projects, and improved security conditions are bringing on in the state. Ever since a successful and peaceful state elections, J&K has seen a surge of terror attacks. Starting from 16th of October, when the new state govt and CM were sworn in there have been 14 terror attacks. 12 civilians and 3 army personnel have been killed and 12 terrorists have been shot dead.
