Retail Inflation Dips Below 4%

Published On: August 13, 2024 - After satying above the 4% mark for nearly five years, retail inflation has finally dipped below this level, hitting a 59-month low of 3.54% in July. This drop is mainly due to a high base effect, according to data from the National Statistical Office. The last time we saw retail inflation below 4% was back in September 2019.
