PM Modi, Spanish Counterpart Inaugurate Tata Aircraft Complex in Vadodara

Published on: October 28, 2024 - Make in India, Make for the World: PM Modi and Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez inaugurated the Tata-Airbus aircraft assembly facility in Vadodara, dedicated to manufacturing the C-295 military transport aircraft. This landmark project marks a significant step in India's ambition to become a global hub for defense manufacturing. With a total of 56 C-295 aircraft to be delivered—16 directly from Airbus in Spain and 40 manufactured in India by Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL)—this facility represents India’s first private sector Final Assembly Line (FAL) for military aircraft.
