Published On: August 28, 2024 - Baloch Liberation Army launched 'Operation Haruf’ and is claiming responsibility for killing over hundred Pakistani soldiers. Lets us look at how these attacks unfolded. These attacks took place on 26th of August, which is the death anniversary of Baloch nationalist leader Akbar Bugti. Akbar Bugti was killed by Pakistani security forces in 2006. On this 26th Aug – the BLA targeted an army camp and military checkpoints across Balochistan. The operation involved suicide attackers, explosives, and strategic blockades to control the Bela army camp & key highways. Now there have been decades-long armed separatist movement and frequent clashes between fighters and Pakistani security forces. What do these latest attacks mean for Pakistan?
