Manipur Violence: Militants Launched Armed Attack in Imphal West

Published on: November 12, 2024 - Manipur remains tense as unrest continues. On Monday, security forces neutralized 10 militants in Jiribam, leading to a surge of violence across Imphal West. Disturbing scenes emerged from Koutruk, where armed attacks erupted on the outskirts of Kangchup and Koutruk. The assailants, reportedly wielding heavy weaponry, allegedly fired indiscriminately at residential areas near the Kangpokpi-Imphal West boundary, escalating the situation.
