Nalin Prabhat is no stranger to conflict zones. In fact, he has spent most of his career in India’s terror-infested terrain. He also boasts extensive experience in supervising anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir. Prabhat has been appointed at a time when militancy is posing a big challenge in the Union Territory. Battle hardened militants trained in jungle warfare have stepped up their attacks, particularly in the Jammu region. Since 2021, Jammu has witnessed 33 militant attacks.
