Household Debt at Record High

Published On: April 30, 2024 - Household debt in India is skyrocketing. It stood at 39.1% of GDP in Q3 FY24 (Oct-Dec). However, a year ago, in the same quarter, the household debt stood at 36.7% of the country's GDP. Notably, the growth of non-housing debt is growing faster than housing debt.
