In almost repeat of what happened in Galwan in 2020, on 9 Dec 2022, more than 300 Chinese soldiers attempted to change the status quo along the LAC Arunachal Pradesh, leading to large scale injuries on both sides. Galwan or before that in Dhoklam and now this time in Tawang area. This Yangtse area, at an altitude of 17,000 feet, has been repeatedly targeted by the Chinese. It also happens to be one of the numerous disputed locations between China and India. Despite repeated rounds of talks the Chinese strategy is to keep the line of actual control unresolved. Why does China want to keep the border problem festering ?
