Fraud in Anna University

Published On: July 25, 2024 - NGO Arappor Iyakkam has alleged fraud at the Anna University, claiming that several engineering colleges resorted to fraudulent means to acquire affiliation to the Anna University. The NGO has also claimed on the basis of college faculty records that multiple colleges presented the same persons as full-time faculty during inspections in 2023-24. As per the NGO 353 teachers presented as full-time faculty in more than one engineering college. It has also alleged a collusion between the AICTE’s Inspecting Committee & Anna University’s Standing committee while hiring faculty for the colleges.
