Can chandrababu solve the budameru problem?

Published On: September 09, 2024 - Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has promised to launch the ‘Operation Budameru’ in a bid to prevent the flooding of Vijayawada in the future. Vijawada city was submerged following unprecedented rains, but one of the main reasons for the flooding was the massive inflows in the Budameru river, also known as the Sorrow of Vijayawada. CM Chandrababu said that encroachment along the riverbed will be removed, height of the Budameru bunds would be increased and all the breaches at Budameru plugged.
