Atishi Ignites Controversy as She Takes Charge as Delhi CM & Leaves a Chair Vacant for Arvind Kejriwal

Instead, she left it vacant and chose a seat next to the CM's chair. Atishi referenced the Ramayana, comparing her feelings to Bharat's when Lord Ram went into exile for 14 years. She stated that for the next four months, she will govern Delhi as the CM, much like Bharat did by placing Lord Ram's 'Khadaun' on the throne of Ayodhya. The BJP sharply criticized this gesture, likening Atishi to Manmohan Singh and calling Kejriwal the 'real' CM pulling strings from behind. They went further, calling the event a 'mockery of the Constitution' created by Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
