The group of civilian hostages were employees of a mining project related to the state-run Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission in the militancy-hit Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Eight workers have been rescued, but the fate of the other 8 is unclear. This is possibly the first instance of nuclear technicians being kidnapped by terrorists. So, how worried should India be?
